The music itself
Every composer featured on Preludial died well over a century ago. Their compositions have long been in the public domain worldwide — nobody owns the works themselves.
Audio recordings
The recordings on this site are not performed, produced, or owned by Preludial. The large majority were sourced from classicals.de (library.classicalmusicarchive.org), a publicly accessible classical music archive. A small number came from Wikimedia Commons, where they were published under open licenses. Files are re-hosted on this site's own server (audio.dozed.ca) purely for playback reliability, not to assert any ownership over them.
If you hold rights to a recording used here and have a concern, see "Questions or concerns" below and it will be addressed promptly — including removal, if that's what's requested.

The artwork throughout each timeline and collection was AI-generated for this project. It's stylistic/atmospheric, not a claim of historical or photographic accuracy.
Biographical text
The timeline narration and piece descriptions were written for this project, drawing on widely available, publicly documented facts about each composer's life and music.
